The trailer of Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor’s upcoming film Street Dancer 3D will have its digital release on 18 December. It will also be showcased across cinemas, prior to the screening of Dabangg 3 on 20 December.
Previously, the Street Dancer’s trailer was scheduled to be out on 12 December, which is also producer Bhushan Kumar’s birthday.
Confirming the delay, director Remo D’Souza told Bollywood Hungama, “There’s lots of VFX and 3D stuff is happening and right now we are all working on that. I am keen to show the trailer to everybody and have been working round the clock to get it complete by then. It will be a proper two-three minute trailer. You can expect some amazing, never-seen-before dances in it – and something very special which I cannot reveal right now (sic).”
The report further adds that Kumar and D’Souza are reportedly keen to have Salman Khan at the trailer launch.
The makers have previously called Street Dancer 3D “India’s biggest dance film”. D’Souza had also said that it is unrelated to the ABCD franchise. Dhawan and Kapoor will once again share screen space after 2015’s ABCD 2.
Mumbai Mirror had reported that Kapoor trained in five different dance forms – Afro, Krump, Locking and Popping, Animation Tutting and Urban. She joined the cast after Katrina Kaif opted out because of a scheduling conflict.
Shakti Mohan, Nora Fatehi, Prabhu Deva, Sonam Bajwa and Aparshakti Khurana also star in vital roles. Mohan will make her Bollywood debut with this feature. The first schedule took place in Amritsar after which, the cast and crew shot in London.
Street Dancer 3D releases on 24 January, 2020.
Shefali Shah and Neeraj Kabi-starrer Once Again, an unusual love story, will have a limited theatrical release in metro cities on 8 December.
The movie, written and directed by Kanwal Sethi, was released via Netflix earlier.
Sethi said in a statement: “Once Again is a lyrical ode to the fundamental and basic human emotions including love. Besides focusing on aspects such as loneliness in the urban cities, it depicts a story that resonates with everyone.
“This has reflected through the responses received by the film so far. I am extremely happy about the film’s release through Vkaao and positive that theatrical audiences will also identify and relate with the film.”
The release through Vkaao, a joint venture of PVR and Book-My-Show for movies on demand, will begin with a special screening in Mumbai on 8 December in PVR Juhu, followed by a question-and-answer session with the cast.
The film tells a mature love story of Tara, a widowed mother who runs a small restaurant and one of her customers, a popular film actor Amar to whom she delivers his daily meals. Tara has never seen him – except on the big screen.
The film also features Rasika Dugal, Bhagwan Tiwari, Bidita Bag and Priyanshu Painyuli.
Shefali is delighted with the theatrical release of the film. She said: “The film has many nuances which are so delicate that they’re meant to be seen on a big screen to soak in all the flavours. So, go watch Once Again on the big screen.”
The Indo-German film is produced by Sanjay Gulati and Neufilm in collaboration with ZDF/ARTE.
Gulati is confident the movie will garner a positive response with its theatrical release.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s much awaited Monsoon Shootout is all set to hit the silver screen on 15 December, according to the latest poster of the film.
The poster of the film fits in perfectly with its genre — a crime-thriller drama — with hues of blood red as the poster’s background, Siddiqui’s face (bruised, battered and scarred) in monochrome and Vijay Verma’s silhouette in red, the poster cuts a chilling picture.
The film was supposed to see a theatrical release almost four years ago, however the release repeatedly kept getting stalled. Siddiqui had shot for Monsoon Shootout immediately after Gangs Of Wasseypur.
“For almost a year we were travelling across festivals with the film and then we wanted to wait and release the film when we felt the time was right. We had a successful release of Haraamkhor earlier this year and 2017 has proven to be a year when good content films were being accepted. So we feel now is the best time to release the film,” said Monsoon Shootout‘s producer Guneet Monga in a statement.
Monga and her production house Sikhya Entertainment is known for producing content-driven films like Masaan and Lunchbox, apart from Haraamkhor.
Monsoon Shootout is a crime thriller film starring Siddiqui, Vijay Verma and Tannishtha Chatterjee.
This film is about a policeman facing a life-altering decision when he must decide to shoot or not.
It is directed by Amit Kumar, who earlier made an award-winning short film called Bypass with Siddiqui and Irrfan Khan.
